So, I did it! I just set my mind to it and finished ONE of the Victoria gloves. I am channeling Michael Jackson right now, at least the bit about the one glove circa Thriller. I have to admit the glove is quite cozy. The striped pattern was challenging and I'll have to improve at changing colors. I don't like the fact that I had to weave in all the loose ends. The next step is to adjut the pattern for knitting in the round. I picked up a phamphet on Magical Loop knitting and it seems as if it would be easy enough to master this technique, but I am going to stick with my double points right now, just to be economical.
Anyway, until I finish my other glove, I'll be walking around with one glove on and one glove off. Perhaps, I am kin to diddle diddle dumpling my son John.

Underwhelmed
I raced out with my husband last weekend to buy Wenlan Chia's new book, Twinkle's Weekend Knits and I am not overly impressed with it. Granted I haven't knitted anything from it, but it seems as if it will be another one of those books that adds to the clutter on my already stuffed to the brim bookcase. It is not as if the designs aren't pretty, but there is a certain j'ne sais quoi that it lacks.
Who knows? Maybe the designs will grow on me.

Louisa Harding Victoria Fingerless Mittens
I am working on the Victoria Fingerless Mittens from Knitting Little Luxuries and have hit a bit of a glitch. I have looked everywhere (on the web) for an errata to no avail. I am beginning to think that it is me. The thumb gusset is really busting my chops right now. At this rate, it will be summer before I finish these lovelies. Thank God, they don't have fingers! They would have been awesome right now as it is freezing in the house.
